Locate Credit Score and Credit Report Utilizing Quizzle.com
Conditions: Given an unruly credit market, it is essential to have some understanding of your current credit situation. The easiest way to do is that is to request your credit score and report.
Standards: Successfully retrieve your credit score to assess where you need to improve. Physically inspect your credit report for errors that could potentially be hurting your score.
One of the first steps in becoming a Soldier of Finance is understand exactly where you are financially – you can’t fix what you don’t know is broke. Never before has your credit score been so important in deciding your financial fate. Although, the whole credit scoring system in “bunk” (in my humble opinion), ninety percent of banks use your credit score as one of the sole decision making tools as to whether you will receive a loan, or be denied on a loan.
Beyond the opportunity to receive a loan, you credit score will dictate the percent interest you will pay on your loan, if that loan is your mortgage loan, you could be paying up to 20% more relatively to someone purchasing the same home with good credit. That’s why it’s at least important to know what your credit score is.
Beware of “Free” Credit Score Sites
When you go to retrieve your credit score, there are several different sites that will “claim” to give you a free credit score. If you see it, always look for the little “*” attached to it. Most places that offer a free credit score will require you to sign up for some monthly service after an initial free trial period. . If you don’t cancel it before the free trial period ends….BAM. You’ve just been charged. In a quest to look for a legitimate free credit score, I stumbled across a site called Quizzle.com.
Quizzle is a great way for you to start the process, although there may be some of us out there who would rather not look at our credit score, knowing what you are dealing with is the first step. Quizzle will give you your credit score, and credit report the first time totally for FREE, this is a no gimmicks type deal. In fact, you will not even need to input any credit card information or bank account number to receive your free credit score and report.
I just went through the process of checking my credit score via Quizzle and it took me a total of 4-5 minutes. I will now lead you through the process of checking your credit score on Quizzle on a quick guided tour.
Step 1: Go to www.quizzle.com
When you get to the main page you will see what’s pictured at the beginning of this post.
Step 2: Click on the link at the bottom of the page that says Get a free Credit Score.

Step 3: Click on Get Started Now Button
You will then be re-routed to another web page telling you that you will not have to enter in any credit card information, or even you social security number. If you would like to read the details you may, but all you will have to do is click on the link that looks like this.

Step 4: Enter Personal Information
Quizzle will then bring you to an informational sheet, at this point they will only be asking you for your name as well as an E-mail address that they can send a confirmation E-mail to. Fill out the information and click the submit button.
Step 5: Verification Email
Go to the E-mail account you entered in step 4 and you will have received the E-mail immediately. The E-mail will look like this. Click on the link that begins with HTTPS.

Step 6: More Information
Once you have clicked on the link, you will be brought back to another Quizzle information page that will ask for information such as gross salary, including your spouses gross salary, and it will ask you for a date of birth as well as street address. The page will look like this.

Step 7: Answer 5 Questions
By this point it should have taken you only about 5 minutes, and you’re almost done already, it’s that easy. Step 7 you will be asked to answer a list of 5 questions. They will ask you questions to verify you are who you are. They will be multiple choice questions and it will be timed (which is why I have no picture to provide for this section). An example of a question I receive was as follows. During the year of 2005, which of the following lived in your household. There were four names A, B ,C and D, all you will have to do is click the bubble next to the correct answer. After answering the five questions click submit and your ready for your credit score.
Step 8: Your Free Credit Score and Report
Quizzle will take a minute or so to load, then you will be taken to a screen that gives you all of your credit information. Quizzle will give you their score as well as a credit grade and a savings grade that will look like this.
Also you will receive your free Experian credit report and score which will be towards the bottom of the page. Your free credit report and score will look like this.

Quizzle also does a great job of explain your report to you as well as giving you some helpful tips of how to improve your credit score as well as what the Quizzle score represents. The whole process only takes less than ten minutes, so I suggest that you login to Quizzle as soon as possible, and get on top of your credit!
